Birding Dutch Harbor

with High Lonesome BirdTours

Beautiful day for our pelagic outing with hundreds of of Murrelets, Puffins, and Auklets. Best, we got to see the Whiskered Auklets! Third photo is a close-up of a Whiskered Auklet cropped from the upper right-hand corner of the preceding photo

Laysan Albatross made a showing amidst Glaucous Winged Gulls at the Chelan Bank (with the help of some chum)

Great birding around Unalaska--below American Dipper, Pacific Wren, Rock Ptarmigan and (immature) Bald Eagle

Mammals included Arctic Ground Squirrel and Red Foxes

Camera: Olympus OMD EM1 Mk II with 300 mm f/4 lens plus 1.4 TC

Our Group:

And our exceptional High Lonesome Leader Stephan Lorenz:

Eagles, eagles everywhere

 Dutch Harbor, Alaska

Just about a fledgeling--taken from the road-side

Not an unusual sight in town

Fly-in to pick the fishing net clean

That's it
