My early 70's word processing consisted of an IBM Correcting Selectric, scissors and glue. I also used lots of Correction Tape. Bill Rohwer (my graduate school mentor) provided Selectrics in our lab rooms. After leaving Berkeley my first purchase was a Correcting Selectric with three Type Elements (fonts): Courier 10, Prestige elite 72, and Symbol. A representative delivered the Selectric to my apartment, unboxed it, and set it up, including bolting it down to a typing table. All that's left are the Type Elements, their storage units, and keyboard cards (showing the key locations for special characters).
