Expression Through Color

Expression Through Color
December 17 - February 1, 2025

"Expression Through Color" is an exhibition of artwork by members of the Huntington Beach Art League (HBAL) at the Huntington Beach Art Center.  The exhibit contains the 25 works of HBAL members that were selected by Juror Andrew Cortez .  In the words of artist Henri Matisse “Color helps to express light – not the physical phenomenon, but the only light that really exists, that in the artist’s brain.”  Color can evoke mood, meaning and emotion to create experiences that resonate beyond language.  Artworks give viewers a glimpse into the mind of the artists as they explore and express the world through the use of color.
