Ruby's End
After 25 years Ruby's Diner at end of Seal Beach Pier closed in January 2013.
Shortly after the closing of Ruby's the end of the pier was gated-closed. Reopening will require "mandatory upgrades" (costing millions) to the pier. Options for restoration include open space, a one-story building to accommodate a restaurant, or a two-story building.

Two years and counting...
Keep in mind, we've been waiting twenty-four years for the promised restoration of our fun tram ride on the pier.

Big Waves at the Seal Beach Pier
A tropical storm off the coast Mexico brought high surf to our beach.

Surfers were happy!
